Technology: Tropos Networks
Cheetah Wireless Technologies, Inc.,(CWTI ), will provide wide area 802.11
support to its residential and commercial users by implementing the mesh
enabled Tropos Networks technology. Tropos offers microcell technology that can
be deployed rapidly and cost effectively. The mesh characteristic of the Tropos
access points meets the redundancy criteria set forth by the CWTI engineering
staff and provides a high level of service to its users. A self-healing
backbone that allows CWTI to add capacity to any point without replacement of
the equipment ensures cost effective growth throughout large geographical
areas. CWTI will implement several wide area hot zones throughout its foot
print providing its customers the ultimate flexibility in high speed wireless
internet access.
CWTI's adds the value of it's Network Operations Center (NOC) with Tropos's
technology. The NOC brings together the engineering, programming and services
to integrate the best characteristics of today's leading wireless microcell
products into one system.
